Embed a map on your web page

I added a button to the custom map page so you can now get code to easily embed a map on your web page. You can take advantage of this feature by saving your map to a web page and then clicking the “Embed Map on Web Page” button.

This makes it even easier to extend your own web site with mapping capability. Let me know what you think of this new feature!

UPDATE: I removed the button from the saved maps page, but you will get emailed the embed code after creating your map. Just make sure you include your email address when creating your map.

I’ve been looking for the “custom map page” you mentioned, but I haven’t been able to find it. I’m interested in embedding a map.

I hate to agree with Erin but I don’t see a button to get embed code anywhere. Suggestions?

Hi I didn’t receive the embed code after I created a map. I really need it to paste the edited map back into my web site. Help!
    Thanks

If you didn’t get the email you can use the sample embed code on the post above.

How can I embed the html-code in my webpage? I can´t find it during the map creating process.
I tryed with this code (xxx is the place from my personal map code) an it doesn´t work.

    Thanks

You should get the code emailed to you when you create your map.

I could not find the button for the embed code either. The email I received when creating my map did not have embed code instructions as well. I love your tool and would like to promote to my colleagues, but need a way to embed it.

I also clicked the link above in your blog post to see if there was example code, but the link no longer works.

    Brian -
The code should be sent to you when you save your map. Make sure you enter in your email address as part of the process.

A month or so ago, I was able to successfully embed some HTML code into my website. I went to update my map and your website no longer generates the HTML code. I’ve sent myself four emails today (per the instructions on the website and tutorials) and none of them contain more than a link. Help!

  • admin says:

Todd – there was a bug with the emailed embed code, its been fixed now please try again.

  • Randy says:

Are you able to have your map embedded on two seperate websites? I have done that and now when I go to update and geocode, the preview is just gray with no map and im too afraid to hit save and permanently lose it.

  • admin says:

Randy – you can embed on many sites. If updating the map isn’t working you could start with a new map, it could be something going wrong with the geocoding. You can email it to me at pholmstr@gmail.com
